Received an SOS about the fan motor for car navigation systems from Hiroshima Prefecture.

"I tried to remove the 4-5mm diameter screws on the back of my car navigation system's fan motor, but it seems to have a Threadlocker, and the screws got stripped.

I want to replace the fan motor with a new one. Can I get some advice?"

He immediately shipped it to our headquarters in Osaka, and the Screw Rescue Team initiated an emergency operation.

Indeed, the screw had a Threadlocker applied and was quite stuck. However, using a modified Neji-saurus Mogura (Socket Screw Extractor) with a trick, we successfully extracted the two screws.

"I have successfully replaced the fan motor with a new one. I am truly grateful. I promptly purchased Neji-saurus (Screw Removal Pliers) from the hardware store. I will make sure to utilize it in the future!

We received this delightful feedback.

For any future screw-related troubles, remember to reach out to the Screw Rescue Team.

What is a trick?

By making a pilot hole on the screw head by drill, Neji-saurus Mogura (Socket Screw Extractor) can extract the screw regardless of its head shape.
